The short version. Use it sensibly, don't abuse it, and use your own judgement about food. The AI can be wrong, so check anything that matters — especially whether food is still safe to eat.

Using the service

Smart AI Kitchen helps you track what is in your kitchen and suggests recipes based on it. You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it — keep your password to yourself.

You must be at least 13 to use the service.

Food safety — please read this one

The app does not know whether your food is safe to eat. It knows what you told it you have. It cannot see spoilage, mould, temperature history, or how long something has actually been open.

Always use your own senses and judgement. If something looks, smells or seems wrong, throw it out regardless of what the app says. Check use-by dates yourself.

Recipes may include allergens. If you or anyone you cook for has an allergy or dietary restriction, verify every ingredient yourself — do not rely on the AI to catch it.

The AI can be wrong

Photo identification, recipe suggestions and search are generated by an AI model. It misreads labels, misjudges quantities and occasionally states things with confidence that are simply incorrect. Treat its output as a helpful suggestion to check, not a fact.

This is why photo identification fills in a form for you to confirm rather than saving directly.

Your content

Your kitchen data and photos remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — storing your data, showing it back to you, sharing it with people you invite, and sending relevant parts to our AI provider when you use an AI feature.

Don't upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to upload.

Sharing and printed codes

If you invite people to your kitchen or print a QR code, you are responsible for who you give that access to. Anyone holding a printed code can use the feature it is for. You can revoke access at any time.

Fair use

AI features cost us money per request, so there are daily limits on the anonymous QR features. Don't attempt to bypass them, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing product.

Availability

We try to keep the service running but don't guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because a provider we depend on has an outage. Features may change.

Ending your account

You can delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it — including anything resulting from following an AI suggestion. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above changes when we do, and material changes will be notified by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current terms.
